Big thanks to everyone who worked so hard to make the event what it was.

To name a few heroes, Carrie, Mark, Rob, The Band and countless others.

Big thanks with the help tidying and sorting, things got cleared pretty quick.

Very tired, sore and with a load of kit to sort out and store.

My opinion was it was an excellent event, but what is my opinion worth?

We appreciate any feedback.

...which is obviously a lie.

Gentlehombrés and ladies - that was definitely the single most enjoyable LRP event I've been on for years! You re-kindled my enthusiasm for actually role-playing rather than just lounging around at an event in costume chatting to my mates and getting mashed.

I was SO glad to escape the FURROWED-BROW-DEEPLY-ERNEST-FROWNY roleplaying that often seems to plague other events. I do LRP because I want to have fun, it's why I got into the whole thing in the first place:

FUN.

I don't want to engage in furrowed-brow beardy politics or in 'character' shouting matches between clans/factions/gangs/groups of mates/cliques for entertainment. I don't really want to pay good money to sit on the outside of a plot that's written for or revolves around Those Who Come Regularly, although all-power to those who get their ya-ya's from that, it's just not for me, (maybe because I never come regularly enough? - maybe).

But to be honest, that's the very reason I can rarely be arsed to get involved in plot nowadays - it's just too much like hard work to get a frown in edgeways a lot of the time. Often it seems like 60% of the players are merely peripheral to a lot of events, someone to make the crowds look bigger and the battles more exciting.

But thankfully not with you guys.

I'm sorry the bloke who left early felt the way he did, because he missed out on a lot of quality and very inclusive entertainment , not to mention excellent hospitality and fantastic food - I think he'd have felt different about his value for money if he'd stayed or maybe prepared a little better beforehand - for me it was certainly £75 well spent.

I know I ended up as 'The Chosen Juan', so that probably coloured my view slightly, but I'm assuming that was pure coincidence because the cards were handed out randomly, in the dark, and I was behind the bloke who gave it to me over his shoulder - so pure chance, could just have easily been him I'm guessing?

Everyone there threw themselves (literally in most cases) into the weekend, players and crew alike. The monster crew was fantastic, the 'acting' (you know who I'm talking about Larry ;) ), suitably over the top, and it was really nice to see Jack and his mates there outside the stockade for a change - thanks guys.

But most of all it was the humour, the honest fun of the event that got me. I laughed til my cheecks hurt (the top ones), I ate chilli until the other ones hurt (still paying the price for that one...) and I played until I lost my voice (which must have been a relief to many of you). And it was all worth it.

The 'inspiration' for the storyline was...inspired, (although I think I could have done the ending more justice in retrospect), and the slow dawning of light on primitive man (and wench) that broke upon us all on saturday was lovely.

So thanks to all concerned for a fantastic weekend - crew and players alike, (especially my good compadré Cheech for convincing me to come in the first place!) - and to everyone who wore a corset.

...except Si.

I'll definitely be coming again as soon as possible - although maybe I'll come as a steenkeeng Englishhombré next time - it's easier on the throat...and the 'e' key.

...or maybe not, it seems a shame to waste the costume eh?

My only regret is that I didn't get to give Larry a good return kicking under the blanket. Next time mate ;)

Cheers from a very satisfied customer.

Mark Cordory.

Now you wouldn't be abusing your power by trying to put words into my mouth would you Mr Earl?

I had such a good time... again! You never fail to deliver the goods boys!
Thanks, thanks and more thanks.
I laughed so much that I am booking in for botox as we speak!
Hurry up with the dates for the next one.
Thank you to all the other players for putting up with the worst Captain in the world and for not killing me off after the first hour, which frankly is what I deserve!
Thank you so much to the crew who against all odds provided us with some excellent fodder!
And the cook...well words fail me here. A culinary marvel!
You are all amazin'
I loves ya!

cheers B, glad you enjoyed it, of course you can come back, and with chris I hope. I think you either get BIC or you dont and you clearly do. many thanks for your support. we always welcome feedback, but some recent comments have been woefully uninformed and others have been simple untruths. so any constructive comments from either of you are more than welcome. however if you should come again....BRING A KNIFE AND FORK IF YOU INTEND TO EAT AND IF YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE DARK BRING A TORCH ...there covered that.
