Welcome to the first in a possible series of random newsletters from Burnt is Clean, please excuse any grammatical, spelling and factual errors. This is due to the fact that this has been translated from the daubings on my cell wall, it is very hard to write in my backwards cardigan using my special brown ‘crayons’.

Latest news and excitement

Ein Paar von Nuchte un den Nizen Schrzen
Only a couple of months to go until the next exciting caper. The anticipation level has reached level 8 and before you know it, we will all be moderately lacklustre in our enthusiasm. As some of you may have worked out this adventure is based in sunny Germany and I can revile it features a plot of Machiavellian grandeur. A few player places are still available to the right people. We always welcome hoards of crew.
If you have not completed your payment (shame on you) then please do so at your earliest opportunity to ensure all costume and props are completed before the event. We would appreciate all payments to be completed by the end of June or there abouts.
If you wish to crew then let us know so we can have a clue as to numbers and know how many beers to get in*.

There have been a few minor additions to the site. Perhaps the most mediocre and substandard of these is an exhilarating on line adventure that serves as a prequel to the next adventure. Yes it has thrills, yes it has graphics, yes it breaks the human rights act, yes it has sound, yes it is wrong, yes it requires a broad band, yes it contains secrets, yes it is somewhat pointless and most of all, yes it is free!
No other LRP offers you more for less**.

A few amended links for kit and caboodle. The one I have to push the most is www.fbatentcompany.co.uk this is a sensational endeavour by our friends Geoff and Flic who are selling magnificent Sahara canvas tents. They are spacious, easy to put up and can be used in character. As a wonderful endorsement of these tents, Burnt is Clean is proud to announce that they can be used in game as tents +1 and will increase your elemental resistance to cold and wet by 4 skill ranks, yes that’s right 4 skill ranks!** Go on, tell them I sent ya and see what kind of wonderful deal they can offer you. Coming soon.

I am also pleased that the revised Criminal Justice Bill has only affected replica guns from 1840 onwards. Thus get over to www.historicalfirearms.co.uk and blag yourself a bargain flintlock. If you are interested in cowboy guns they are selling off their old stock dead cheap before the ban comes into effect. They sell denix and DR guns which are cheap and very nice, check out the nice new Chinese flintlocks.

The caption contest has been independently*** judged and the votes counted and verified and a couple of surprising winners have come forward. Check out the hilarity and worthy runners up. A new contest will be up and running at some point in the near future.

A few of you still may not have been aware of the multimedia extravaganza that is the Burnt is Clean trailer. This features a multitude of ghastly images put tastefully together with some muzak. It can be found in the gallery.

The forum has been a bit dead of late. I have had to close a few bits to the public due to spammy spam but these open up once you sign in. Please get on there and give us a little feedback, positive of course as any negative stuff will be impolitely ignored. If you have not joined then stop lurking and enrol now.

Other things to spend your pennies on
Roy is working like a demented dervish producing a new and exciting photo DVD of the last event. This will be packed full of heroic photos of dashing and gallant swashbuckling protagonists. I can’t remember the price but I am sure it will be reasonable. They make excellent presents for family and friends and once you have had enough of it you can use the dvd in any manner of different ways. Such as a drinks coaster or Frisbee . Back copies of previous DVD adventures are also available.

Again to plug me old mucker Denise who can be contacted at Littlegoblin@ntlworld.com who can make you the most beautiful frockcoat or costume. They really are stunning. Martin did promise her a website but you know how slack he is****.

A further couple of Nights at the Mermaid’s Purse
Just to let you know that is to be a second event this year. Oct 12th-14th. Yes the title is somewhat ripe, but who cares. Again it’s going to an epic account of erroneous and immoral drivel. This one is to be set back in old Blighty at the world famous Mermaid’s Purse, it will be like coming back home, meeting old friends and having toothache all rolled into one exquisite and excruciating experience. If you would like to express an interest in a player place then let us know*****
