If the next event's the first weekend in November then I can probably make it, but apart from that I have a full diary for the rest of the year (oo, hark at him with his full diary* eh?).

My voice has just about recovered, the pain and deep feelings of humiliation have mostly gone and I'm ready to do it all over again.

I guess it's a bit like childbirth in that respect?

...so I'm told...

...maybe.

PS: Moll, none of us were actually hit in any of the battles, we're far too good for that, we just used it as an excuse 'cos we like getting stitched up by you :)

Cheers chaps

Mark

*Yup, all the cows are producing to capacity for the rest of the year.

Hey

Was a 'right giggle', we both had a great time, with many laughs along the way.

Suffice it to say:

'looking forward to the next one' (assuming you'll have me as well and not just the pretty half of the London duo!)

I had a bloody great time. Best one yet in my opinion especially the sausage-bottom bits during the greatest, most spectacular, highly sensational Swindlers' Fare the world has ever known. It is true the captain was rubbish and deserved to walk the plank on Friday evening with a bottle of grog and a rollie, but that didn't stop the perpetual-motion-hypnotic machine from being a bouncing success. (Thanks for that, Ella).

It's protocol to thank the cook so here it is. Thanks cook. The sausages and cabbage were brilliant, and I particularly liked the gateaux even though most of it fell down my trousers.

Here's a quick list of memorable quotes:

"Cavaliers scare easily, but they'll be back and in greater numbers." (Young Ben)

"Of course we didn't find the treasure." (Capn)

"Eat the sausage" (Me to Chong after previouly mentioned bottie-sausage gag)

"Can I wipe my feet on your trousers?" (Capn)

"Were you hit in the stomach or further down?" (Molly)

Oddly enough, the "eat the sausage from the bottom" bit didn't rank in my highlight moments - I must have overlooked that.

I do however agree that our Swindlers Fayre was definitely the better of the two; better plot, more realistic characters, and better special effects - in Surround-Sound-Perpetuo-Vision! (Just wait til we bring out the Scratch-n-Sniff remake next year).

It just goes to prove that some sequels are better than the original (making ours the 'Empire Strikes' I guess?).

And of course, don't forget our fab surprise ending! No one saw that one coming (least of all me and Will), eat your heart out 'Jacob's Ladder'!!!

Can't wait for the next one, but will probably have to :(
